Will chill from Twitter/X until after the US elections. Almost all the hate Godot got over the weekend was pretty much people who had not a clue what a game engine is, what Godot is, or what a FOSS / community made project is. Most of the ones who did were the usual haters.
Checking profile of haters, majority pro-trump people with weird religious symbology, or people with avatars/obsession for anime little girls.
Sometimes I feel I am too innocent for this world.
gamedev @Andre_LA@mastodon.gamedev.place@reduz It's a bit of a lengthy video, but it's quite eye opening how much X promotes far-right content on their algorithms, which explains why this is so exclusive to X (and Youtube on some extent by drama youtubers).
This drama was non-existent on my bluesky feed, and on my mastodon feed just people defending Godot.
@reduz In all honesty, these guys will use any opportunity to harass everyone who isn't like them, and that's not organic at all, but coordinated.
As someone who lives in Brazil, which used to have a far right federal gov., I watched how destruction for their own benefit is the only thing they do and care, this is also visible by "fake gamers" who just makes hateful content about diverse games, and will distort reality thanks to social media post-truth.

, this was really a very Twitter thing with some exception with drama youtubers who has nothing to do with Gamedev in general at all.
