Hi all, my wife Annie is researching exceptional computer/video games for kids (ages 5-12) with equal parts entertainment value and social emotional learning (#SEL). This is for a #devcom talk she's giving. Can you offer any recommendations? Thanks!
Edit: to clarify, we're looking for games where the designers specifically included/embedded a way for kids to learn SEL skills, rather than it happening randomly/organically, or by accident.
@DavidBFox Eco is a non-violent Minecraft-y game with cooperation and the goal of saving the planet from a catastrophic meteor impact. I think it started as aimed at a younger audience, but might have become a bit complex.
It provides the ability to vote for and enact laws and restrictions, trade and currency, but might need a knowledgeable person to guide through the game systems.
Not sure if this fits what you're looking for, but thought I'd make a mention of it.
@doqunbop Thanks!
