A brief thread of game announcements this past week that caught my eye:
The #Engrish masters at #FrenchBread are making #UnderNightInBirth2 Sys:Celes. My wife and I enjoy casually messing around in #BlazblueCrossTagBattle and liked the characters that were borrowed from the previous Under Night In Birth game. This new one might be too hardcore for us, though.

#Outcast:A New Beginning is apparently a remake/spiritual successor(?) to a 1999 game I never played. But the standard eco-friendly, anti-colonialist plot is accompanied by learning the different aspects of the local ecosystem/culture, which seems weird and potentially interesting.
#TitanQuest2 is something I did not expect. I remember having a good time with the original like 15 years ago. But between it, PoE2, and Lost Epoch, the future seems replete #ARPG games, which is cool.

@ElysianThus original Outcast had beautiful voxel graphics
@morten_skaaning Do you know why we're getting a new Outcast game? Was there a diehard fan community for the first one?
@ElysianThus the devs did a reboot kickstarter some years ago, but it didn't go anywhere AFAIK. The original had this super distinctive organic feel to it. It's probably worth finding to get a look at, just because it's unique.
@morten_skaaning Did some digging and found this failed Kickstarter to remaster the original in 2014.

But then they released the remake in 2017 anyway and got "very positive" steam reviews.
