Mfw it's possible to have placement new operator for every type "out of the box". Is this even correct? I mean, it compiles, runs and seems to behave correctly, but... that can also happen when undefined behavior is present.

Afternoon mograph/vfx. Revisiting some effects from my logo animation today. I'm creating the lightning a little differently here, and it's definitely more flickery. My electricity effects are always a work in progress. Plus some other assorted displacements, totally pointless vector rotations, and some volumetric haze for kicks.

Fired up my old crappy gpu raytracer. Fixed a few issues with it (mostly reverted a big change I didn't finish that wasn't going to work anyway, changed some uniform buffers to shader storage buffers). It's tempting to resume working on this. I wonder how would this perform with some sort of acceleration structure...
