Twilight Imperium 4 fans... is there a video somewhere telling the introduction backstory? Would love to send it to friends to get them excited about the game!

Just took 90 seconds to remove them. Wish I'd done that in 2012.

Just realised I've had 24G of EBS volumes sitting unused on AWS, connected to stopped instances... for _eight years_. Cost me about a dollar a month. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

im really starting to prefer mastodon over twitter

i used to be really into having the newest computer gadget. now i use refurbished hardware. it's so much cheaper. it lasts. it reduces landfill waste. it's great, and i don't really feel like i am missing out on much tech-wise.

here are some tips if you need tech stuff but don't want to spend a lot of money, support horrible companies, and such (1/n)

Some nice hashtags on the Fediverse which are worth browsing and (if your platform allows it) following:

#Florespondence - Pretty pictures of flowers 🌷 🌻 🌹

#SFFBookClub - Reading and discussing Scifi/fantasy books together

#Introductions - People telling the fediverse a little bit about themselves

#Alternatives - Ethical/open alternatives to popular apps, sites or pretty much anything

#FollowFriday - Recommendations for interesting accounts to follow

Any other good tags?

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about microblog.pub. Seems like an admirable project.

If you’re not in my particular niche communities, you might not know about the community that exists around old ThinkPad laptops. But I’m going to tell you about it, because I think it’s awesome!

ThinkPad laptops from years ago are enduringly popular, because they have great support from free software, and they’re extremely repairable.

Not only are new or used parts extremely easy to come by, people are even designing new parts for these old machines, so you can upgrade rather than replace!

Next stop is probably hosting my own mastodon instance. Or perhaps a Pixelfed instance for gamedevs.

One thing I can't work out how to do: get green ticks on my Twitter links...

I made a Docker container that generates other Docker containers, so that pretty much makes me an expert... right?

Ok, so I'm really loving @Mastodon and the Fediverse in general. I'm only following a few people here, but I'm finding myself avoiding Twitter and coming back here. It's just... nicer.

Eventually I suppose that the trolls will come to find a home here, but I have a strong hope the network of moderators will keep on top of this. Here's to a decentralised future!

After 9 months, I am humbled, thankful, excited, speechless, to announce v1.0.0: a procedurally-generated mini-RPG with memory mechanics!

Get it now on Itch: (link: deengames.itch.io/eman-quest) deengames.itch.io/eman-quest for Windows/Linux!

We are thankful to our Creator for giving us the ability to finally finish!

Feedback/RTs welcome!
