Ron Gilbert, Esq.

True story: When Twin Peaks first aired, the MI team would come to my apartment and we watched each episode.

@grumpygamer it's probably detailed in length somewhere, but how much Twin Peaks is in Thimbleweed Park? Like, besides the glaringly obvious same initials.

@Tom_ofB I didn't put anything in specially, I am just a David Lynch fan and wanted to capture a similar vibe.

@Tom_ofB @grumpygamer We made some "inspiration movie sessions" when working on Thimbleweed and one was Mulholland Drive if I recall correctly?

@octavinavarro thank you for this bit of behind the scenes lore, Octavi. I'm afraid i will now have to also check out your games :-) @grumpygamer

@octavinavarro just followed through and bought a bundle on Steam. It'll be some time before I actually get to play 'em, though. *sigh*
I wish you and your's much success. At least enough to keep afloat.
@grumpygamer

@Tom_ofB Thank you Thomas! I hope you like them :) Please, keep in mind that the first 2-3 games were my humble beginnings and not very representative of what comes later :)

@grumpygamer

Can absolutely believe it. Our team were pulling late nights in the studio at the time but we'd stop to watch Twin Peaks without fail.

@imalcolm @grumpygamer people would just turn up to a house known to have a TV just before the start, and the householder would let them in. The episode would be watched. The visitors would quietly leave.

@grumpygamer Even though I've watched Twin Peaks at least 20 times, I always discover something new in the series and movie. Simply great! I've loved it since I was a teenager.

@grumpygamer my favorite TV series ever. What a huge loss this was.

@grumpygamer Before i knew who David Lynch was, I sat down to watch the pilot broadcast of a new mystery show called Twin Peaks. I was riveted, and at about the 50 minute mark I thought to myself “They’re not going to solve this yet. This is going to be a two part episode”. Tuned in the next week and was hooked.
