We talk about how advertisers don’t like appearing next to bigoted content. But, hey instagram, I’m just a user and I hate it too! Fuck this shit, fuck having it shown to me for no reason, and fuck having it appear next to by own photography in the app.

It looks like the transphobic Threads account they cross-promoted either has been suspended or has self-deactivated, at least.

A transphobic post is used to _advertise_ #Threads to an Instagram user. It looks like that account has been deleted. @hdyar when i was using threads, i got a transphobic post recommended to me too…it wasn’t this post specifically, but rather, a different post that came from the same person who posted that. it was truly sickening.

and the fact that threads chooses to highlight posts like these is making it a lot worse, because it’s giving these people attention…which is exactly what they want…

i might uninstall threads too, honestly.
