If anyone is interested, the author of Game Programming Patterns (Robert Nystrom) is writing another book online, Crafting Interpreters (http://www.craftinginterpreters.com/). I love his writing style and I'm having a delight studying it; also, he made both books for free online, and both are pretty awesome reading for programmers.
@noizex that's true, but unfortunately I don't think this will happen anytime soon, as he does not work in the game industry anymore (I think he working in the Dart language now). I also love his publishing style ("Like this one, you can read it for free too, because I love you." ), so I'll get the book as soon as he finishes it too hahaha
@henriquelalves @noizex he had since made a game scripting language after the book btw http://wren.io/
@henriquelalves Ah, too bad, I think he really had a talent to explain complex things in a very simple and easy to understand way. Would probably buy any book on gamedev written by him straight away :)
