So! After some years of being fairly "unofficial", Unity editor for Linux is more official now. You can just get it via Unity Hub, like regular Windows/Mac editors. https://blogs.unity3d.com/2019/05/30/announcing-the-unity-editor-for-linux/
Electron apps are not really apps, they are just web pages with rudimentary heavy-weight browsers included.
If you are about your users' well-being, please, don't use Electron in your project. Using more than 300 MB of RAM and slowing down the whole system just to edit a small text file or send a chat message is a sin.
My talk “How compilers take advantage of undefined behavior” from the Malmö C++ User Group meeting 0x3 is now available on YouTube
Read this. This article pretty summarizes what I see every day. And when I criticize it, half of the audience doesn't understand my point. They are simply to young and grew up with smart phones and fast lines.

Retrospective of a year writing C code again (for those not also on twitter): http://floooh.github.io/2018/06/02/one-year-of-c.html
reviewed a CL where a junior coder fixed a bug where we called virtual functions in a ctor (not my code!)... nice catch, but he fixed it by creating a factory template, proudly proclaiming in a comment that that's the way to solve the issue (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ This is why we can't have nice things!
(as I said, a junior, so all is forgiven. And it's no longer a template)
@hugin OK, not "instead", would still have to do the coder test...
I missed sooo many optimization opportunities in json.h, fixed some at least! http://www.duskborn.com/1-22x-performance-improvements-in-json-h/
dear imgui 1.61 released: better double/u64/s64/u32 support, better %e/%g formats support, .ini loading/saving from/to memory, merging sparse overlapped fonts, safe area padding fixes, columns fixes etc.. https://github.com/ocornut/imgui/releases
