Unity forces the names of shader passes to all caps internally. Sure. I can see how that's useful.

It will not, however, do the same for the name you call FindPass() with.

User friendly this is not.

A local friend of mine just launched Doodle Date on Steam. It's a game where you draw your own characters, and then date them! It's ridiculous and endearing and y'all would probably love it. store.steampowered.com/app/830

if you use and are on the code side, you should almost definitely have read this! A lot of the why, how and where, all turned inside out.

Just went and read EFF's whitepaper on domain registries again. There are a LOT of TLDs whose registrars will remove domains without a court or arbitrator's order. One of them is .website, but there are dozens of others. You should read the list before deciding to register a domain in any of the non-original TLDs.

@hellojed If you're anything like me you'd regret having stayed and never chased your dream.

The games industry feels hostile to a lot of us these days. I know lots of devs who are incredibly creative, smart, driven... and most are getting eaten alive.

I don't think this is video games writ large, though. It was much, much better just a few short years ago, and I suspect it can and will be again.

For now, we've just gotta find something semi-stable, hold on tight, and wait out the storm.

I just discovered that FMOD has support for HTML5 and that feels *completely* bonkers to me fmod.com/docs/api/content/gene

(but also really rad)

@audiodude I was able to repro on both Android and desktop. Added logging, and suddenly it worked. Removed logging, and it... still works? Maybe I'd just uploaded an old version of the html or something. /shrug

Anyway fractive.io seems to work correctly on both platforms for me now. Note you may need to force refresh so you don't get an old cached broken version.

@audiodude I can repro. Not sure off the top of my head what broke, but I'll look into it. (This used to work just fine.)

Hm, much like in TweetDeck, it looks like the "description" tag doesn't get used here. (It does get used on twitter.com for expanded tweets, so it must be hooked up correctly...)

Today I learned that OpenGraph is a thing, so let's see if my implementation of it actually worked...

@Gargron Does Masto support link preview cards, like Twitter/etc.? I'm trying to find some documentation about what meta tags to put on my site but I'm not finding anything that seems relevant. (But I'm also not sure if I'm searching for the correct term.)
