Taking stock of all the little lithium-ion fire hazards I’ve been keeping in a box… under our bed. Should probably get rid of these.

@jonikorpi if I didn't live on the opposite side of the planet from you I'd come take those PS4 controllers off your hands, but I think the fuel emissions involved would not make it worthwhile

@jonikorpi didn't the CV1 take alkalines? Unless you used a lithium rechargeable of course. Still good idea to at least store them without batteries.

@Naate Me too! Clickwheel go brrrrr. I think it’s 3rd or 4th gen. Maybe I can still keep it, but somewhere more visible.
@jonikorpi I ended up doing a drive mod and firmware mod to mine to give it a much longer life, too. It was a great piece of kit for it's time

@sinbad For me it's just that… well, if there's a 0.001% chance of danger per device every day, okay. However… what if there are like 30 devices? Suddenly the combined chance is not that tiny anymore. ><
