A giant wind-cloud-man overlooking what I assume is the Swedish town of Gränna. Description from site: GRÄNNA 300 YEARS by KARL MAURITZ SVENSSON KMS alias “Kalle Firma” was somewhat of a celebrity in Gränna, and of course they city chose to commission him to produce the poster for Gränna’s 300 year celebration in 1952.
Unknown artist. A winding river cutting into blue woodlands and disappearing towards the horizon. Big text says “VÄRMLAND”. Some kind of song or poem from the site: “Ack, Värmland, du sköna, du härliga land, du krona bland Svea rikes länder! Och komme jag än mitt i det förlovade land, till Värmland jag ändå återvänder.”
30 000 LAKES by ALFRED MAHLAU. FINLAND THE COUNTRY OF 30000 LAKES. Minimalistic lakeland-forest drawn in blue, with the water melding into the white paper, and a red sun (or moon?) casting a vertical beam of reflection.
THE SALMON FLIGHT BY ERIK BRUUN. DESTINATION NORTH FINLAND. An aeroplane made out of 3 salmons. The fins meld into the wings. The red dotted side pattern of the middle salmon looks like plane windows. They’re flying in a windswept background, and look like they’re maybe enjoying themselves. Yeah… this is a bit hard to describe.
