There's too many interesting problems to solve in gamedev. Sometimes staying focused on one is hard. Especially when what you're doing at work keeps exposing you to new really interesting things.

@khalladay What i find super interesting is that we have the solution to some issues. But they are simply too expensive, so we have to figure out clever workarounds to still get something shown in realtime.
@tjheuvel haha all of game rendering is essentially a stack of clever workarounds until our machines are fast enough to path trace everything in real time :)
