Hi I'm Charles, I live in Reykjavik Iceland and am currently working for an unannounced VR startup.

Previously I've worked for Autodesk, CCP Games and Realtime Worlds plus a few smaller companies no one has heard of.

I care about programming, game design, ux design, production processes and building a kinder and better industry.

Epiphany on the Jetbrains business model. It’s just a yearly new version payment (with discount for prior purchase) except you already know it has value because you’ve been using it. Pretty genius from a pandering to businesses demanding subscriptions and aligning development and customer incentives POV.

Help I've fallen in love with the hardcover, dotted Moleskine notebooks. The extra-large ones feel like the perfect medium for writing, sketching and general noting about design and dev.

Escaped my office for a nearby coworking space thanks to ear splitting construction going on just outside my window!

Okay so we’re actually on the cusp of proper real-time raytracing on consumer hardware. That’s pretty exciting and an actual win for Deep Learning.
