The work is ever evolving, and now I'm doing code as well, but here's some preliminary icons for a project that I've been working with under @kleb for some time now, that uses the open repair data standard, aiming to help the repair industry.

standard.openrepair.org/

These icons may end up not being used, but it's the most involved I've been at building up a style in recent memory.

I'll show more as time goes on, as this is my main focus for awhile!

Very excited to work with the talented @misnina ! Looking forward to this very exciting next few months on this project. Her art and software skills are invaluable.

We're looking forward to doing big things to help save the #repair industry!

@misnina @kleb I raced to show my second youngest, who applauds your art as loudly as I do your mission. :)

@misnina @kleb I stumbled a few times reading the first few pages. Is the Alliance interested in ad-hoc suggestions for small edits to ease introducing people new to it and its Standard?

The Standard itself doesn’t say whether or how to contribute, and the GitHub repo’s second PR was its last. Are they open for transparency but closed for contributions?

@garthk @misnina

The standard is not maintained by us! We simply love what they are doing and are doing our part to leverage and promote their standard.

Our project is still mostly in stealth mode. But our intent is to participate in the standard to help improve the circular economy.

@garthk @misnina

Following up on this. At this time, we're not currently a member of the ORA. And there is no open process for individuals to directly contribute to ORDS.

I''d advise either linking up with a member organization if you want to work on that. Alternatively, the restarters.net project does appear to allow open contribution!
