Oregon Coast Trail Weekend plans!
(Yes, it’s my first Discworld book!)
I'm finding The Colour of Magic difficult to get through, and I'm genuinely hoping the Discworld series improves from here. I see sparks of promise -- especially concerning humor and the pure imagination that's here -- but the narrative also feels so chaotic.
@raptor85@mastodon.gamedev.place@killyourfm even Terry Pratchett doesn't recommend it as a starting point, it's pretty rough compared to the rest of the series, though I do love the story. IMHO the abridged version is actually better because it cuts out a lot of stuff in-between and is less chaotic. Sourcery is generally considered the best starting point. I'm partial to the watch and death series though, so I would recommend "guards guards!"
