Ok, a more specific rendering question: The replacement shader approach is working out ok for getting the look I want, like in this video. But is there any way I can do like a cross-fade instead of fade to black *without* requiring multiple cameras?
I guess something with making the camera render manually with the replacement shader after it rendered normally, and then render the that render texture with an alpha to the screen? I haven't done these kinds of things before and don't know if they work ok for VR.
