@sheredom Is there any advantage for desktop platforms (performance or memory wise)?
Or is this only for portability to platforms without the necessary plumbing to do fork() with copy-on-write memory pages and all the stuff?
(I'm asking because I wrote my own cross-platform wrapper still using fork() on Linux, https://devel.nuclex.org/framework/browse/filedetails.php?repname=Framework&path=/Nuclex.Support.Native/trunk/Source/Threading/Process.Linux.cpp)
@cygon both perf and memory from what I was told. On macOS I got 2% faster consistently, but people are saying Linux would be more!
