Just occurred to me that when I say I'm using a "torch" 
to see, maybe a non-zero portion of the audience might think I have lit a stick on fire 
. I should probably use "flashlight" for clarity

@sinbad I did immediately recognize it as a dialect thing, but the image was already forming in the other half of my brain. Haha. “There’s lint in there! *lights heavy duty propane torch* Fwoosh!”
@slembcke that would be a very effective lint removal technique, with some unfortunate side effects
@sinbad Haha! I know what torch means but I read it while still half awake and my mind pictured a blowtorch just vaguely near the phone caused it to panic and cough up the lint like a hairball.
