After playing #BookOfHours for two hours (no pun intended), I must say, I'm captivated.
The pacing is quite a bit slower than in #CultistSimulator, but the atmosphere is there, together with the love for details, and the excellent storytelling.
@soulsource I had never heard of the game until I saw this! Looks cool! I just got into a talk about less violent game design so this is especially interesting!
@CodeRat Yeah, it could be interesting for you then.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if violence becomes a motif later in the game, just like in Cultist Simulator (the previous title of Weather Factory).
(Also, the books in the library the game is set in are quite violent, but that's just flavour text.)
For Cultist Simulator the game design doesn't depend on violence though. It's just communicated via pictures and flavour text on cards, not via game mechanics.
