I'm looking for a small (ideally up to 14" at most) CRT #TV that works correctly with my (RF) #PAL #SEGA #MasterSystem II at both 50 and 60 Hz (so it needs to have working #PAL60 support...)
Does anyone in Sweden has one to sell?
(please boost...)
First CRT test - and first failure - today
The Philips 14" VHS combo they were selling *could* properly show the colors even when the console switch was set to 60 Hz - I had a brief moment of joy before I realized I could no longer hear any audio until I switched back to 50 Hz.
This was totally unexpected, I wonder how it was even possible.
@sverx I got mine for free from my nearest public drop-off depot, a pretty decent 14" JVC that works great with 50 Hz and 60 Hz SMS2 RGB signals. I don't know how drop-off depots work in Sweden, but if they have there, I would pay the nearest one a visit.
@doragasu thanks for the suggestion!
Unfortunately I suspect I can't just go to a public drop-off depot and *pick* stuff there, but I'll look into this option anyway.
@sverx You usually cannot here either. But if you talk to them and only pick a single item, they usually don't have trouble (other thing would be if you wanted to take a lot of things).
@doragasu I see. It might be worth trying...
@doragasu I tried asking the guy there - he says that once it's in the bin, they can't give it to anyone, but sometimes people leave (small) working appliances in a separate area, for reuse, and one can pick whatever is left there.
He rarely see CRT TVs anyway.
@sverx Oh sorry to read that. It's a pity not being able to give a second life to those CRTs.
@doragasu yeah. I will go back again, let's see if I can convince him
@sverx Would you be interested in modding it to add S-video , RGB, and AV out ?

@LiamGilmartin I will surely consider that if I can't find a TV that works... thanks!
@sverx Wow, that's indeed weird...
@doragasu yes, I was *very* puzzled, and still I am
