Got a bit carried away with #uxn adelie, and decided I needed to make my own presentation tool. Behold:
(Yes, those are Ufx fonts in use)
(And to be clear, this isn't in Uxn -- that would take ages and this is for a lecture I need to deliver this weekend :P)
Posting in case anyone finds it useful: https://github.com/kiedtl/eileda
It's highly specific to my needs, though I imagine it shouldn't be too hard to hack.
@unlkfp looks like an excellent format :)
@unlkfp
"Hello there, how are you" is the line I use when testing pens
I wonder how common that is?
@m0xee Heh, this is the first time I'm using that phrase -- mainly because I needed to test out bolding and italics :^)
@unlkfp cool. Reminds me of suckless sent. Unfortunately, when using this style of presentation in a business environment the point of it being "too barebones" was raised to me more than once. Highly depends on your audience, I guess.
@rpm Oh yup, definitely. Cultural expectations matter, the point is to communicate the topic without distraction. If the most deranged PowerPoint template is what does that the best, then I'll use it, albeit cursing the Windows UX the whole time.
To be honest, I'm not sure this tool will manage all that well for the talk I'm giving -- I doubt my audience has ever seen a bitmap font before; I'm sure there are going to be questions :P
At least if this is a waste, I only spent ~5h on it...
