The Mysterium livestreams have been having AV problems (ain’t it always) so my full Mysterium report will be delayed until next week.
But the TLDR from Cyan:
- Riven is out!
- Reviews and fan response is spectacular. Sales are not as spectacular. Time for more PR.
- No news on the next game. They’re gonna be concentrating on Riven patches and new platforms for the time being.
- Rand is retiring. Will still be around, on the board, etc. but “I won’t be at the morning meetings.”
Mysterium posted the Cyan chat stream early, fixing the audio problems they ran into this morning.
The full video has a bit more info which I didn’t catch: Cyan *is* working on a new game in “the D’niverse” (they don’t want to say “a new Myst game”). Been in planning for a year so far. They’re still far from making any concrete announcements.
