Whoa. I hit Wanderstop this month whilst dealing with my own burnout. I found more parallels with you-the-reviewer than I did with Alta. Thanks for the review.
I was happy to embrace the vibe of the game, although I was disturbed by the frequency of "you kicked the can down the road on this person's problem, but guess what, they're immediately back for the next round". Unrushed busyness is weird.
@brettwitty I can see how padding the game out with more “dead time” ( no customers) would have been a bad choice. But you’re right, it felt compressed in some ways.
