On April 1, 1957, the BBC’s Panorama fooled 8 million viewers with a 3-minute prank about a ‘Swiss spaghetti harvest,’ narrated by Richard Dimbleby. Showing farmers picking spaghetti from bushes, it tricked many Britons unfamiliar with pasta—then an exotic dish—thanks to the BBC’s credibility and the era’s limited culinary exposure. #AprilFools #BBC

@NatureMC It feels like a belated #AprilFools but alas it is reality.

I do try to laugh at it. So when the tears go down my face you dont know if its because of the laughter or the legit crying. Maybe both.

On the brightside, #spring has come and me and the dog will play fetch in the park. Maybe I'll take my daughter with me. Depends on how tired she is.

"Tracking Concorde & Emirates Takes On DHL: 2025's Best Airline April Fools" by Simple Flying (#FPNF Fediverse presence not found - if you know them, invite them) - Overview of some aviation-related #AprilFools gags. The big one was FlightRadar24's display of "live" tracking for two fictitious Concorde flights, which fooled a few despite the date. (Concordes have not flown in over 20 years. 18 of 20 airframes built are now in museums.) simpleflying.com/tracking-conc #aviation #travel #avgeek #humor

@sysosmaster I think the 2019 #aprilfools joke from #Kampen still beats it. They where holding a #pageant, Miss Kampen,... for #cows. The best part of the joke, no one knew if it was true or not until they went to the event to see.

But it was true. Whole city full of cows. It was awesome.

Oh, and there was a guy who signed up his #alpaca because the "sign-up form did not have a check if it is a #cow". The organisers only found out when he got there. She got disqualified for not being a cow.
