Today, one of my best ride since the beginning of the year.

I was tired, not so motivated. But sunny weather and the silly goal to cumulate 1000km in march moved me.

I went slow (my HR was higher than usual today I don’t know why). It was really beautiful, exhilarating beautiful, and caught the sunset.
I’m even not that tired even if I clocked 81km.

So it happened, I procrastinated so long with posting pictures that my phone died...

Nothing is lost, they are on SD card but my backup phone doesn't have a slot for it. And can't downsize photos.

I am already in #France , have a good weather, few days of rain but nothing that serious. The terrain is really flat here and roads really good, I just didn't had the need to load gps navigation yet how well they are signed.

On the coast it feels somehow like #bikepacking at home (some of you may guess to which picture I am referring to).

Yeah and I met Eli, she is going pretty much the same way so I ride with her for few days.

I haven't been able to work on my #BikePacking #BikeTouring [videos](youtube.com/watch?v=MYKbV6RU3d) for the past few weeks. I was traveling, and video editing on the laptop is impossible. Time to restart and work on episode 3 of our Alps adventure! Last night I rendered the #rayshader #rstats map of the day's route, from Buchs in the Rhine valley to Filisur, at the bottom of the Albula pass.

The challenge is not distance, it's maintaining the drive to go ahead despite facing adversity - Hitchhiking turns out is more difficult than finding a friendly bike shop to stay open later to replace a wheel. 60km outside Sudbury.

Many people who do #BikeTouring with the #Brompton take their folded bike into grocery stores, at least while on tour to not have to leave anything outside. Last time I was doing a multiday tour¹, I was wondering if using a bicycle trailer would make things easier or worse. On the right, Jay (see previous post). On the left, a young 19 year old guy we met, "crazier" than us. Started walking on the road in Vancouver to head back to Montreal. Thousands of kms in, he bought some rollerblades and poles and went along gliding on the shoulder listening to beats in a quasi-dancing fashion. He slept in the ditch in his clothes with no tent. Great smile and positive attitude!

Heyoo j’ai comme plan cette année de faire Montréal-Québec à vélo pour aller rejoindre la Marché Mondiale de femmes, en octobre. J’aime bcp mon vélo actuel mais il est un peu lourd et le frame trop grand pour moi. J’ai déjà fait des rides d’une journée avec, mais pas des aussi longues distances…

Faque si vous avez des recommandations de tour bikes qui coûtent pas 1500$ et plus, je suis preneuse! Ou des recommandations de bike shop à Mtl 💖
