Black and white. A suited security guard in a shop called Tod's in London's fashionable Old Bond Street looks out of the shop window across the road at my camera with a suspicious look on his face. A poster at the back of the shop features a photo of a man laughing behind his hand. No one else is visible in the picture. The title, 'On His Tod' comes from old Cockney rhyming slang 'Todd Sloane', 'alone'.

Le dessin est inspiré par une photo prise par un ami lors de son voyage à Cuba. On y voit une taverne nommée "La Botija"". Un homme est appuyé contre le mur. Peut-être attend-il quelqu'un. Sa fiancée ? Ou un copain avec qui il boira un des ces cocktails forts en alcool qui font la renommée de la région.

The drawing was inspired by a photo taken by a friend during his trip to Cuba. It shows a tavern called "La Botija." A man is leaning against the wall. Perhaps he's waiting for someone. His fiancée? Or a friend with whom he'll drink one of the strong alcoholic cocktails for which the region is famous.
