It's Friday, so that means (occasionally) I put a new video out! Today is a bit special because this is the start of a series I'll be uploading exclusively to Peertube! My YouTube viewers get a single episode as a little preview, but after that, it's for you, Fediverse!

Don't want to see these messages? Mute #BobDendryPeertube!

Today we're diving back into a #BoomerShooter, but not the one you're thinking of. No instead for today's VOD we had just gotten our copy of the then newly released #BuildEngine game, #IonFury. This was such a fun return to form for #3DRealms, and aside from the quality issues on our end throughout the playthrough, the whole thing went rather smoothly.

Oh! And this marks the first VOD that used some form of branding/overlay, so welcome to the second era of our saga, the Glitch Era...

Blood (1997) is a horror-themed first-person shooter by Monolith Productions. You play as Caleb, an undead gunslinger on a quest for vengeance against the cult of Tchernobog. Featuring extreme violence, dark humor, and creative weapons, the game is known for its brutal difficulty and engaging level design. The soundtrack, composed by Daniel Bernstein and Guy Whitmore, enhances the chilling atmosphere.

Since Phantom Fury is turning out to maybe be of uh, uncertain quality, I thought it was time to play Ion Fury: Aftershock.

I just finished it and it was really good. The compact nature of it filled a Build Engine Game shaped hole in my heart. One particular section involving some catacombs was irritating but not enough to mar the experience, and I thought the vehicle segments stayed just long enough to be fresh.

It ends abruptly, but would still recommend.
