There is no need to rush if you just moved to signal. It's a fine choice. For the time being, it would be suicidal for the US corporate operators of signal's infrastructure to use their power to compromise it. They could loose tens of billions of revenue with customers outside the US if they did. Maybe just consider <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/deltachat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#deltachat</a> your insurance and a thing to eye mid/long term. Email will not go away anytime soon :)

DeltaChat is way better.However, if you want something like a public forum, or a public chatroom, don't go for DeltaChat. Matrix is way better suited for that. And DeltaChat does not support public groups at all. Party poopers must eventually show up to any wide open party, and foul it, if possible. Blocking Alibaba cloud's IP range stops about 80% of these bots - for now.Allowing free and easy account creation on a <a href="https://c.im/tags/DeltaChat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DeltaChat</a>/Chatmail server provides a similar bad-faith "opportunity" for such party-pooper wastage of disk IO, disk space, CPU, etc - creating a huge number of free accounts, but not using them. So that's why I would want to know how to do such Geo-blocking/IP range blocking upfront - having seen what bad-faith bots are up to these days.
