Mike Harrison<p>NMCLI Love and Hate<br>I understand and respect what the Network Manager crew was trying to do, but for little embededed devices/servers needing bespoke configs.. mostly managed by scripts and command lines. nmcli is an obtuse opaque way to do things, and does not always match the GUI. Richard Hendricks<p>Boss said he got a scolding email that 2 of his reports were not signed up for Microsoft Copilot and using it. I'm one of those. Aviancer<p>I find myself learning how to design my own binary data format and how to write it onto the flash memory of a SoC ^^;</p><p>Funnily enough I can encode the entire current option space into a single byte as a bit field, but version 0x00 of the configuration format takes up 8 bytes due to canaries, an entire additional byte reserved for possible future development - and a crc checksum.
