This week I have successfully infected two people IRL with #logseq 
Will infect two more today and tomorrow 
I have spent some time this week reorganizing personal notes and the outcome is just immense. To me this is like looking towards a bright future where I have less friction with my note taking app but gain structure without effort. #logseq
Only thing that is bugging me right now is the 2-way-sync situation between #Android and #Nextcloud. I would love to use a #FOSS solution but apparently there is none (that I know of). Many people resort to unfree apps like foldersync etc.
Figuring out a smooth and free way for syncing will be a project I'll tackle soon

Now that I am on a #degoogled phone. #youtube is something that I use a lot for my entertainment, both mobile and desktop. #newpipe is a good app and is *a* solution, but the trouble is that it doesn't synchronise my watched history back when I go to my desktop. So I end up accumulating recommended videos that I've already watched on mobile. #revanced is my solution as I like the extra tweaks that it has. If anybody has a #foss app suggestion that still retains synchronisation I am all ears.
Oh dear, I just found #ValaLanguage which closely mimics #csharp syntax but with minimal/no dependencies and compiles to C.
This might be my new #programming language, esp since C# isn't widely used on #Linux systems.
I think this means I have to learn about C though. #Unity3D is quickly becoming a thing of my past, one way or another.

Interesting that GNOME Software tells you if a software is translated into your language, if not, there's a warning on the top with a button to help contribute 
If your favourite app is not translated into your language, start contributing!
By doing so, you make the software accessible to non-English speakers. 
The OSU open source lab is one of those lynchpins for many Projects in FOSS.
Even small projects like @librecast depend on those servers. To be clear we don't host our project infrastructure with them.
But when we do a Librecast release it gets tested on Debian infrastructure to package it for #Debian and #Guix. Which OSUOSL is a part of.
So if you can spare some cash for this lab, please do so.
Our ecosystem depends on this.

In bilateral negotiations, both sides made compromises for text we all agreed clarified the misstatements while honoring @osi's political goals (e.g., to never say my or @richardfontana's name on their blog).
Such negotiation & abiding by its outcomes in good faith are central to unity among disagreeing #FOSS factions.
I've done ≥ 100 of these kinds of negotiated public statements w/ other #OpenSource leaders in my 25 year career.
This marks first time someone reneged without even a warning!
Angesichts der verfügbaren #FOSS halte ich DIY-#Parteien (do-it-yourself) für möglich. Kleine lokale politische Vereine wie die aus den Freien Wählern hervorgegangene "Worms will weiter" (WWW) oder "Freie Liste Pfeddersheim" (FLP) geben Beispiele. Die FLP hat bspw. am Tag der Demokratie 2023 darüber informiert, wie Parteigründung funktioniert. Lustig finde ich auch, wie angestrengt Leute keine Partei sein wollen, z.B. "Wormser-for-future", sondern metaparteiliche Informations-Vereine. 3/x

Zu diesem Umstieg kann ich nur gratulieren! Die Freiheit, die wir haben, alles zu tun, was wir wollen, und nicht das machen zu müssen, was andere wollen, gefällt mir am besten daran. Im Februar habe ich meine Linux-Gaming-Distribution mit Garuda gefunden, die auf Arch Linux basiert. Was soll ich sagen? Die Grafikleistung ist gleichwertig wie bei Windows, und sowohl die CPU als auch die GPU haben eine sehr niedrige Auslastung.
Warum sollte ich für ein Betriebssystem bezahlen, das meine Privatsphäre mit Füßen tritt?
Ich kann nur jedem raten, sich die Mühe zu machen und auf Linux umzusteigen. Es wird ein steiniger Weg sein, aber wenn ihr das Ziel erreicht habt, werdet ihr die Vorteile in jeder Hinsicht genießen.
Die Anpassungsfähigkeit von Linux ist beeindruckend, und die Community ist unglaublich hilfsbereit. Ihr werdet feststellen, dass es unzählige Software-Alternativen gibt, die nicht nur kostenlos sind, sondern auch oft besser funktionieren als ihre Windows-Pendants. Außerdem ist die Sicherheit von Linux ein weiterer großer Vorteil – weniger Viren und Malware bedeuten weniger Sorgen.
Lasst euch nicht von den anfänglichen Herausforderungen abschrecken. Mit etwas Geduld und Neugier werdet ihr schnell lernen, wie ihr euer System anpassen und optimieren könnt. Und glaubt mir, wenn ihr erst einmal die Vorteile von Linux erlebt habt, werdet ihr die Windows-Nutzer mit einem Lächeln betrachten.
Macht den Schritt – es lohnt sich!
