Metin Seven 🎨<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.dhelonious.de/@daniel" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>daniel</span></a></span> Thanks Daniel!</p><p>My attempts to find the right solution mainly fail due to OpenGL. <a href="https://graphics.social/tags/MagicaCSG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MagicaCSG</span></a> uses OpenGL 4.6, and apparently, none of the VMs support a higher version than OpenGL 4.2, not even the much-praised Parallels.</p><p>It's also tricky when you've got a Mac with the ARM-based Apple Silicon, because the chip architecture is very different from Intel and NVIDIA. AFAIK MagicaCSG doesn't run on ARM Windows, so you need a VM that supports Intel or AMD Windows + OpenGL 4.6 on an ARM Mac. 😓</p>
Metin Seven 🎨<p>Thanks for the boost, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.dhelonious.de/@daniel" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>daniel</span></a></span>, appreciated.</p><p>I'm afraid that getting <a href="https://graphics.social/tags/MagicaCSG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MagicaCSG</span></a> to run is too niche for any Mac user to go through the necessary procedure of installing and correctly configuring multiple tools.</p><p>I read through the Reddit replies, and almost no-one managed to get it right for the OpenGL-based Windows games. 😔 So I just know that I'll enter a world of frustration if I'd try it for MagicaCSG. 😅</p>

Since Zink (mentioned in the Reddit post) had 4.6 support in 2021, but Vulkan 1.3 didn't come out until 2022, there's a chance it could work.</p><p>Crossover and MagicaCSG offer free trials, but I don't think I'm tech-savvy enough to get all this to work properly.
