Anthony Bosio<p>Ooof, I do have to admit it is slow going migrating my music files through beets. I am doing this mostly to get all the album art but also correct some metadata. If I were not such a high-attention-to-detail-type I would just let it go automatically, but when it matches the wrong album it is really wrong. Anyway, I'm going by artist directory and I have only 795 to go out of 826.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/SelfHosted" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SelfHosted</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Navidrome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Navidrome</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Beets" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Beets</span></a></p>

MetalSnake<p>I'm a <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Mac" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mac</span></a> user since System 7. I loved the second Steve Jobs era, the software was great, it felt like it was made especially for me. But since Tim Cook took over it's getting worse and worse.Quality wise but also in the way it's supposed to work.</p><p>It's long overdue that I switch, so I finally start to move away from Apple software towards free software (free as in freedom). </p><p>The last days I migrated my <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/iTunes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>iTunes</span></a>/Music.app library to <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Navidrome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Navidrome</span></a>, and I'm loving it. </p><p>Next is the Notes.app and the Calendar.app and after that I will have a look in the different flavors of <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> Distros, the window managers and what not.</p><p>Only downside I see is the hardware, currently Apple hardware is really great, and I don't like the idea of using a loud x86 heater.
