Star Wars Day Concert
This afternoon we attended my niece’s Kitsap Philharmonic season finale. Since it was May the Fourth, they featured a lot of Star Wars music! I was pretty envious she got to play a violin part in Duel of the Fates, among other prequel themes.

Just played in the orchestra for a concert at a local school: six different pupils playing movements or complete concertos. As a viola player, you know it's going well when you lose count in the bars rest because you're so distracted by the piano solo!

Just watched the New Horizons Symphony production of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana".
One highlight was conductor Stephanie Reyes ACING the first half, easily the best direction I've ever heard of this music. Second half was also strong.
Another highlight was the Coro Infantile Saleciano de Juárez, a young girl's choir from south of the border, coming in and singing second half.
The standing ovation just didn't stop.
