It seems patterns for sweaters etc nowadays are mostly written in the round, with no seaming. But in Dutch, many patterns are for sweaters etc are made in panels and then seamed in the end.

Is that just old-fashioned, or is there a reason for that?

Personally I dislike seaming and making panels makes you go back and forth, instead of just continuing the knitting.

So, is it weird I'm changing those patterns to in the round? Am I msising something?

I always struggle to start writing blog posts but enjoy the process of actually writing them when I get started. It's kinda odd... anyone else have the same problem?

My daughter (13) wants to take notes on her tablet in school, but so far, every app i see is a data-security nightmare and needs constant internet connection.

They all seem to exclusively safe the files on the companies server accessed by the app. Some even use AI.
Not really what i want my child to use for stuff she writes in school, let alone a diary.

Isn't there any android compatible app (handwriting possible) that can safe the files on the device?
