New version of #Signet client has been released (0.9.22) for #Linux, #macOS and #Windows. hax0rbana.org/signet/downloads

The only real change is that if you try to import a keypass entry that is several thousand bytes, the client will alert you that it's too big and allow you to skip it.

Yes, it's another boring update. No vulnerabilities, no show stopping bugs.

No, seriously, I'm writing tools to determine the impacts of a malicious client. What can the firmware defend against & what are its limitations?

Whether the code is vulnerable or secure, we should have proof. Right now the proof is "it's open source, just read the code" and that's not good enough. I want any independent security professional to be able to audit the firmware in a weekend, by themselves.

Another #Signet #Saturday and this week, I've opened a ticket on the #Qubes issue tracker.

Signets can be used in Qubes without this being fixed, but it currently requires attaching the device to a qube, detaching it, and then attaching it again.

If this issue is fixed, it'll work fine on the first attachment.

Today I released a new version of the #Signet client for #Linux, #Windows and #macOS. The biggest change is compatibility with #ScreenReaders, but there's also improvements in search and a few others small things. The search is vital for me since I have over 350 passwords in my own personal device!

Looks like I need to find another video hosting site or two.

Odysee doesn't seem to want to be embedded anymore and isn't loading in Chromium (Firefox still works though).

If anyone has any recommendations for PeerTube instances which have open registration or some way for me to get an invite, please pass them my way.

I want to use this to promote open source hardware and software that I make. So hopefully a #peertube instance that has people who would appreciate such a thing. #Signet
