When I made the green print I had difficulties with the consistency of the ink and then I got so distracted by this, so I did not think about the color shade. It did not turn out as the kind of color I had in mind. (Thank you #adhd.)
I'm not sure if I should start over. I have planned a set of three motifs with gastropods* and it does not quite fit my expectations.

*Btw we have one word for snails and slugs in german. Slugs are "naked snails".

One one postcard is mauve snail. On the second one is a green slug and there is some blank space left for an other layer.

My daughter had a few boxes of Girl Scout cookies left to sell, so we made up some "dragon-snails". People could adopt-a-snail (for the price of 3x boxes of cookies), and get 3x FREE boxes of cookies! Such a deal!

One (rear) had garnet cabochon eyes, and the other (front) had tigerseye cabochon eyes.

Two yellow-orange painted "dragon-snails" crafted out of epoxy clay, set into real seashells. The one in front has a long puppy-dog face, while the one in back is perked up curiously.

sieht das hier ja auf den ersten blick mal so überhaupt nicht aus, aber schaut mal genauer: das muster aus feinsten querrillen und verschieden breiten längsstreifen erinnert doch schon sehr an gewebtes textil, nicht?

nahaufnahme, quadratischer ausschnitt. unter der unterseite eines dicken astes, dessen rinde grünlich mit flechten bewachsen ist klebt ein schneckenhaus, spiralspitze nach unten rechts, breiteste stelle der windung uns zugewandt, mündung am ast anliegend. es ist größtenteils kastanienbraun, trägt nur 2 und einen halben, wenig ausgeprägten hellen beigen streifen entlang der windung. die sind ungewöhnlich klar und gerade abgegrenzt, kaum von den feinen wachstums-querrillen ausgefranst bzw zu flecken zerlegt wie sonst bei gefleckten schnirkelschnecken üblich.

I decided to put unlimited time on a snail pic (about 20min I guess), and that immediately landed them in troubble...

diese kleine schnecke kroch mir heute über den weg, fast unter den fuß, ich habe sie zum glück gerade noch rechtzeitig bemerkt :3
ich bin unsicher was genau das für eine ist, das gehäuse sieht aus wie von einer genabelten strauchschnecke, der schwarze leib passt aber nicht, sagt eher gefleckte schnirkelschnecke.
weiß jmd von euch da mehr?

edit: jmd auf iNat meint das ist womöglich 1 rötliche laubschnecke Monachoides incarnatus. hmm, auch plausibel

seitenansicht einer schnecke mit schwarz feucht glänzendem körper samt stielaugenfühlern und beigem schneckenhaus mehr oder weniger ohne flecken. sie kriecht über erdigen boden auf dem im hintergrund unscharf detritus zu sehen ist, also zerfallendes pflanzenmaterial.

I did this quick print to test the design. I intended to do it in one color, but I suspect it will work better with different colors for the shell and the body.
