CW: political magic
If you loathe and despise #NigelFarrago, this #spell might be for you.
As well as being a lying grifter who claims to be ‘just a normal bloke’ when he’s worth millions, as well as using hatred of foreigners to stir people up, there’s some evidence that he is an actual #traitor to UK. This piece is just one example among many: independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli

We did a spell to expose the shit. The intent was: ‘The reputation of Nigel Farage in the eyes of his voters is completely and permanently destroyed.’
It would be a nice bonus if he was also imprisoned. Hence the DONG of bells at the end; this is the bells ringing as they drag him away to gaol.

Here’s a version of that spell. You can follow it if you like or remake it for your own #magical style.

1. Statement of Intent: ‘The reputation of Nigel Farage in the eyes of his voters is completely and permanently destroyed.’

2. Gaze at a picture of him or just visualize him while you sing, to the tune of Frere Jacques:

He's a traitor, he's a grifter,
He's a con, he's a con,
Hates his country, only loves money,
Nigel's wrong, Nigel's GONE.

If you are working with someone else you can sing the song as a round, like the original Frere Jacques.
Sing for as long as you want! Make an obsessional link between Farrago and those words!

3. At the end, sing a DONG! big bell sound.

That’s it. Or you can continue it into other words to the same tune, ‘hiding the sigil’ in plain sight. #ChaosMagic

Entertaining thoughts about hiding or obscuring your spells and workings from others when they're left out in public or plain sight or otherwise areas they could be discovered.
While I'm composing my thoughts, be welcome to put in a reply here.

What are your thoughts on magical work that exists in public? What would you put in the open? Why would it need to be there? How would you protect it? :ReplyOK:

RT appreciated because this is a major life quality issue: the lack of spell checkers for Samsung tablet.

I use a Samsung Galaxy S9+ Tab (I strongly recommend against ever getting a Samsung device, for many reasons. Happy to elaborate further). This specific one doesn't have inbuilt spellchecker, confirmed with the Samsung support who fluffed around for ages before admitting only some models have it, you can't know unless if you bought this specific tablet, then blamed me for not doing research.

Firefox has completely disabled all Android spellcheckers, both inbuilt and extension.

I think what's happening now, is we are being forced to use the online ones that comes with monthly subscription that also sells your work to LLM training models.

I'm not a native English speaker. I'm also dyslexic.

Anyone found any ways around this? While I'd like to never use Microsoft Office Suit, at this point it seems like Microsoft is the least evil out of all the major players.

Anyone found a way of bypassing this? (Do not ask me to google it, google has fallen as a search engine for at least five years now, it's all SEO based irrelevant spam regardless of what your search term is).

Is anyone else awaiting spring with the patience of a skittles-fuelled toddler?

Breathe.

Under Sol's dancer, adrift in the blue,
Touch the soil, with warmth renewed.
In Gaia's breath, bid winter's rout,
Wake, ye buds, 'tis time to sprout.

Let Aeolus' whispers the branches swing,
Hark! To the birds, as they begin to sing.
In Ver's embrace, bid frost take leave,
Breathe, O Earth, 'tis time to breathe.

cool idea for my witch/magic followers

get a map of your *immediate* area or the area you go to normally to commune

not a country or a state map, *maybe* a detailed county map. something in your area.

print it off google if you need, but print it. if it's an area with little to no roads, get a topographic map. these are available here: topobuilder.nationalmap.gov/

it's a little more advanced, but google has ways you can create your own maps of points.

take the map with you everywhere you go. make notes on it of things you notice. use cute planner/kids stickers to make it more fun

examples:

- does one area feel different to you? how? where are the boundaries?
- does a tree live among many dead ones?
- do you see the same animal in an area?
- where do bees live?
- where do crows gather?
- what crossroads catch your eye?
- is there a cemetery?
- notice areas with unusual plant growth, like clusters of herbs, poisonous plants, or unusually thriving flora.
- any abandoned buildings, ruins, or old wells?
- do people avoid or gravitate toward certain areas naturally?
- hidden pathways: Little-known trails, shortcuts, or secluded places that seem to call to you
- a few good spots that fit various spells more aesthetically
- witch signs? like little offerings

once you've filled the map with your observations, keep it in your grimoire for reference.

refresh it yearly, keeping only the things that have served you well.

#fedicoven Q16 How do you ground and centre yourself before and after performing rituals or magic work?

For me, that is visualisation and meditation. I often hold a stone from my garden or a twig as I do.
Then I can see myself as part of the system of nature and feel my place in the universe.

Occasionally, I mutter this little spell if I feel especially lost. (text in alt)

The Night's Light

In the gleam of Selene’s delicate white,
May my spirit find strength, filled with light.
Bath in chill lunar power so pure,
Tugging tides of thy soul stir and cure.

The diurnal burden, with nocturnal lift,
Under Hekate’s watch, let moods shift.
Weights of day, in night efface,
Awake anew with morn’s tender grace.
