Now that #TDoR is behind us I've pushed all of the #TDoR2024 data I have to the tdor-data archive repo on GitHub:

As a result, there is now a freely available CSV archive of the full dataset (both the TGEU reported cases and others) which can be downloaded or forked.

I still have lots to do (e.g. I have a significant amount of data on unpublished #TDoR2025 cases for October/November already), but for the time being I'm taking a breath for my own mental wellbeing.

On #TransDayofRemembrance, we gather to mourn the #Trans, non-binary and 2-Spirit folks we have lost and celebrate those who are here with us. I will never stop pushing for a future when everyone is free to be their truest self. #ONpoli #TorCen #TDOR #TDOR2024

This #TDoR, I am thinking of the 350 trans people who lost their lives to senseless violence in the past year. Each murder, each death of a trans person before their time is a tragedy. Every trans person deserves to live free from violence and free from discrimination and exclusion. Mourn the dead, and fight like hell for the living.

I've been to a demonstration of the Trans Day of Remembrance in Berlin. It was really sad to hear so many names being read out loud.

I couldn't help thinking that next time it could be me or someone I love whose name gets read.

Everyone there was sad. People were hugging and hoping for a better future. At least I could see that I'm not alone. We are a community.

As the names are read here in Manchester, I am reminded that a light of hope, no matter how small, gives light and heat.
We will survive. We will persist. We will outshine them.

Aujourd'hui, c'est le Jour du Souvenir Trans / Transgender Day of Remembrance. Cette journée se tient chaque 20 novembre. Elle permet de songer aux victimes des violences transphobes. C'est en 1999 en mémoire de Rita Hester, que cette journée a été initiée. Cette femme trans était décédée à la suite d'une agression. #TDOR #TDOR2024
