The first time I played Mines of Moria, I played for 36 hours straight (I had a toilet available, I'm not a barbarian)
That was also the last time I played Mines of Moria

Graphviz? It's entirely possible that the map won't be planar, so there might be some crossing edges.
An image from the very beginning of Escape from Briarwood Hospital. Like Zork, you are presented with a note describing the challenge that lies ahead. #interactivefiction #textadventure #zork #pointandclickadventure

[Video, 8m] "The Making of Infocom Text Adventure Games in 1985".
Old BBC short about Infocom and interactive fiction.
Discovered via Calishat Snaps: Invisiclues. From the About page: “This website is a labor of love maintained by an Infocom fan and obssessive archivist who fondly remembers the first time he was eaten by a grue in the early 1980s. The site is dedicated to (1) archiving historical Infocom-related artifacts — InvisiClues, of course, but also magazine articles, marketing material, packaging, […]

@zarfeblong The Visible Zork is a work of pure genius!
What an incredible way to learn ZIL! This is why I need to retire, because I would love to shut myself off in a room for a few days, play the entire game through a time or two, and practice writing ZIL in aother buffer :P
Zork I was released for home computers in 1981 and it soared to the top of sales charts, where it remained for more than three years! It was Infocom's top-selling product ever, selling more than 400,000 copies (a huge number for the era) and was the "killer app" of its day.

Anyone up for a game of #Zork on a GM905 system from #GeminiMicrocomputers featuring a #z80 processor, 64K memory and dual #gotek floppy emulators running #FlashFloppy? Eh?
Got #RunCPM working on an #RP2040 Pi Pico... And it really was easy!
1. Solder legs to the #Pico and put it in a mini breakout board.
2. Connect a micro SD card module and a KY-004 reset switch, to the Pico, with Dupont M-F cables.
3. Copy the repo A: drive files to a micro SD card, and in an H/0 folder copy the Zork interpretator and DAT file.
4. Copy the repo UF2 file to the Pico and insert the micro SD card.
5. Connect to the Pico via USB with #PuTTY.
6. Play #Zork!

Okay, a few false starts (some user error), but my MNT Pocket Reform is now up and working.
First test. It does indeed run Zork.
The keyboard is excellent, and loud.
