Not So Status Quo
Great Australian Pods Podcast Directory: https://www.greataustralianpods.com/not-so-status-quo/
super random question but does anyone know if Billie razors are any good?? I've only ever used those cheap disposable ones(but they get used like every day for a month before they're thrown away). Honestly I'm tired of having to do ten passes to shave a small area, not even getting anywhere close to having a close shave, and having to deal with my skin being furious and everything hurting afterwards.
I've heard Billie razors are good, but honestly I know nothing about razors and which ones are good. I have really sensitive skin that hates when I shave, but I can't stand the feeling of it not being shaven. I'm broke as fuck so something around or less than $15 would be great. I'm not a fan of subscriptions so I planned on just getting a Billie one from Walmart and getting the extra blades when I need them.
I like that Billie isn't a giant company and is women owned, and they don't push into the stupid beauty standards and don't pressure you to shave if that's not your thing. But if there's a better or more affordable option that works well, I'd probably consider that instead.
thanks!
In the 1989-90 season, the Denver Children's Hospital released a set of Nuggets trading cards. On the front, each had the standard photo of a player. The backs were different, adorned with safety tips such as Bill Hanzlik's "Never put poison in your mouth. And if you see someone put poison in their mouth, you should get help right away." The set is one of many that were made during the 1970s, '80s and '90s, with messages about stranger danger, drugs, gangs and jaywalking. Defector's Dan McQuade took a closer look at some of the best examples, and talked to Hanzlik about his wise words. "I was a master of the obvious," Hanzlik says. "But it is good advice!"

Repair and Remain: How to do the slow, hard, good work of staying put by Kurt Armstrong
Let’s say time comes to gut and renovate your bathroom: I can help you with that—demolition, framing, reworking the plumbing, moving some electrical, installing some mould-resistant drywall, maybe some nice tile for the floor and some classic glazed ceramic three-by-six subway tile for the tub surround. Should take a month or two, depending on what all’s involved. And as for you, hey, for the sake of your wife and kids, I think you better quit the flurry of furtive late-night texts to the sexy young co-worker and cut back a bit on your recreational drinking because wine is a mocker, so goes the proverb, as if those Facebook posts of you at the bar last week weren’t proof enough.
Repair and remain. Work with what you’ve got. Sit still for a moment, take stock, make some changes. Big changes, if necessary.
The 4 Types of Luck by Sahil Bloom [Shared]
The 4 Types of Luck
In 1978, a neurologist named Dr. James Austin published a book entitled Chase, Chance, & Creativity: The Lucky Art of Novelty.
In it, Dr. Austin proposed that there are four types of luck:
Blind Luck
Luck from Motion
Luck from Awareness
Luck from Uniqueness
Here's how to think about each type:

Start with the Jar: How to understand your capacity via Turtle’s Pace [Shared]
Optimism is dangerous, especially when it comes to planning our goals. If we underestimate the effort of an endeavor, we set ourselves up for failure. When we fail to meet our expectations, we can succumb to cynicism.
We must learn how much we can process to avoid the hope trap.
Domain, Duration, and Dimension
Imagine you have thousands of marbles to carry on a plane, and airport security released a new regulation that limits an individual to one jarful. If you don’t know the jar's capacity, you won’t know how many marbles you can bring and could risk losing your precious orbs!

The Best Programmers I Know
https://endler.dev/2025/best-programmers/
"I have met a lot of developers in my life. Lately, I asked myself: “What does it take to be one of the best? What do they all have in common?”
In the hope that this will be an inspiration to someone out there, I wrote down the traits I observed in the most exceptional people in our craft. I wish I had that list when I was starting out. Had I followed this path, it would have saved me a lot of time."

2 wirklich anstrengende Wochen liegen hinter mir. Trotz all der Sicherheitsbedenken?
Ich hab keine Lust mehr für Leute zu arbeiten die meine Arbeit nicht sehen...
