Actually, if #FatMasterson's #tariffs would result in #Temu *losing* money on every sale... and the alternative being raising prices and costing them more than doing business in the U.S., then *yes*, they ARE being stopped from continuing to do business in the U.S..

If they want those customers back (and they do), it makes more sense to frustrate American consumers into evoking change, then to leave them scratching their heads.

#Bezos had the right idea.

It was reported this morning that Bezos’s Amazon planned to alert consumers to how much more they’ll be paying for all sorts of items because of Trump’s tariffs.

This infuriated #Trump, whose White House spokes-lackey promptly accused Amazon of being “hostile and political.” Then Trump chewed out #Bezos on the phone.

So this afternoon, Bezos kissed Trump’s tuchus and withdrew the plan.

"Amazon is planning to show the effects of tariffs on its prices — and the White House has gone berserk."

And after the White House went berserk, Trump pressured Jeff Bezos to back down on this plan, and now those price increases due to tariffs won't be spelled out on Amazon products.

Which means, of course, that the price increases WILL be there. And they will be due to tariffs. Due to Trump.
