Got more nutrition (mostly carb LOL) for long rides. Hope they taste good (not bad at least)… I had two occasions when I bonked and it didn't feel good, so I always bring more than I need.

What do you do to keep yourself fueled on long rides?

Friday morning ride.
#hamstergravel today! You take a hill and you ride it up and down for 1h or more. A hill in the woods with many different tracks and even some hiking!! 😃
And to finish this game a little bit of fast riding along the river to enjoy the water, the birds and the wind in my ears.

It's Thursday, I'm trying to eat more and more carbs, because there's a race on Saturday - 156km. I haven't ever went for that long.

I must say I have not recovered mentally from the last race... But this one is around my city and I kinda know what to expect (even if I don't remember how each part looks like in detail).

Last time at some point I couldn't fuel myself properly because I ate too much sweet stuff. There's a nice word for that in Polish - being 'oversweeten', so I'm getting something savory into my snack pouch (and extra powder to make more isotonic just in case).

I need to change tubeless valve in one wheel. Somehow Trezado valves don't work well for me. It should do for the race, but I want to change it to see if it makes a difference. Otherwise everything looks fine, I will make one pass through all the screws to see if they hold properly.

I don't aim to race, I want to finish it. I would like at some point, though, to try aim for the result, not just for fun, but not now.

A very short ride this morning as I got a flat tire for the first time in more than a year.
Actually the first time with my #gravelbike. It's on tubeless and I use very good tires but this one didn't resist a small sharp piece of glass... And of course, as I am a very intelligent bikerider I didn't have the tools to fix it!! 🤔
Anyway. I walked back home and still enjoyed the blue sky, the birds singing, the little flowers and the white plastic bags living in the green grass.

Monday ride
This morning I was on my way to play my Elevation Gain Game but after a few slopes I said to myself: well! What the ... No constraint. Let's ride where the wind takes you!! It didn't take me very far actually but anyway that was another good 32k.
And even if my mood is still a bit low today I will keep the colors in my pictures. The green is so green these days!!

A fantastic, mainly canals and gravel, ride today with my club, Dukinfield CC. We rode the canal to Hollingworth Lake then the rocky trails east of there back to Denshaw. Then some road before picking up the canal again in Uppermill which took me, more or less, all the way home. Superb ride out. #gravel morning ride!!
When I went out this morning I was not going to ride almost 50k and 3h on the saddle. But hey! The weather is so good and the Nature beautiful!!
I decided to follow the path along the river. Gravel tracks, small trails and sometimes just green grass everywhere!!
And then back home through the forest.
