Day 13 of #Brompton #Spring #Cycling tour: Noirmoutier-en-l'Île -> Pornic (58 km, including, to leave the Noirmoutier #island ,the famous "Passage du Gois" ,a road submerged by the #sea most of the time and only passable twice a day for around two hours at low tide, as well as a #surprise encounter in the middle of #nowhere with an indefinable multi-tasking #cycling #machine .

For those of you who need a Brompton and know it plus those of you who think you need a #Brompton and could use some more encouragement to get one anyway.

Day 12 of #Brompton #Spring #Cycling tour: Saint-Jean-du-Monts -> Noirmoutier-en-l'Île (42 km - the #cycleway on the bridge leading to the #island is closed because of construction works).

Il est possible que je teste bientôt de prendre un TGV Inouï avec mon G Line.

Sur le site SNCF, j'ai lu qu'il fallait une housse pour les vélos pliants (ou démontés) dans les TGV.

Pour le moment je ne l'ai pris que dans des TER où il n'y pas cette contrainte.
Le G Line est plus gros et plus lourd qu'un Brompton classique.

Avez-vous des modèles de housse à recommander ?

Rien d'insurmontable, bcp de temps pour cette première

Première opération #mécaniquevélo sur mon G Line ce week-end .

J'ai constaté une diminution flagrante du freinage à l'arrière .

Après investigation et démontage, un des pistons du frein à disque arrière était grippé . Cela a provoqué l'usure prématurée d'un des patins de freins .

Pas cool après seulement 4 mois d'utilisation et 2500 kilomètres ...

J'ai donc changé plaquette et disque avec succès, super apprentissage

Gestern war Maitour. und da laufen wir immer 6.5 Kilometer den Fluss runter, essen dort ein bisschen, und laufen den Weg zurück. Problem diesmal: Ich hab Rufbereitschaft. Also hab ich Laptop und Auto vorher an der Strecke geparkt, und mir mein #Brompton in den Chubby Anhänger gepackt, und diesem eine Handführstange gebaut. Übrigens sowieso sehr geil für Wanderungen mit Gepäck. Der läuft mit den grossen Rädern wunderbar.

Kilometer 60 der #brompton #eifel Tour. Zeit für was süßes und ne schöne Aussicht!

Day 6 of #Brompton #Spring #Cycling tour: Dolus d'Oléron -> Rochefort (46 km with headwind, including the crossing of #Charente #river on famous #transbordeur near #Rochefort).

Oh, how I love a smooth train ride. Watch the scenery out there constantly changing, have a little chat with the neighbour, or doze for a while. Five hours from Hamburg to Copenhagen, Denmark, lunch break, then a short train ride across the Öresund to Malmö in Sweden, and finally another five hours to Stockholm. My head is full of fresh memories experiencing a wonderful world during the recent days riding on my Brompton from Vienna to Lübeck.

Arrived in Lübeck, Germany. With some pride, I can now say that I have bicycled this year with my Brompton from Vienna, Austria, over Nuremberg and Berlin, almost all the way to Lübeck. Tomorrow, I will take the train back to Stockholm, Sweden. I must say that this was quite some fun. The number of rainy days was zero. There is definitely something wrong with the climate.

Meeting other touring bicyclists by chance on the road belongs to the nice extras on a tour. They are usually very friendly and very happy people. Today, I met a couple that got married recently on their bicycle tour. I learned about their wedding here on Mastodon, and then we suddenly met this morning in front of a bakery. I wish you, Deutschlandradler (@BoeserRadfahrer), and your wife a happy time together! Meanwhile, I am bicycling towards Wismar, Germany.
