@ChrisMayLA6 I read this article with growing fury then, on Mastodon, it appeared in my thread just after your more recent post about #farage spending 24 hours a week on other jobs

The extent to which this charlatan is enabled by a supine media & political class to swan around sowing division & bile, while never, ever being held accountable for, eg, his hand in the unnecessary deaths of cancer patients due to his beloved #brexit shows how utterly removed from reality politics has become

Strange how the #UK #Conservative party is not too keen on letting us know more about their regular drinks sessions at the #Russian embassy after multiple poisonings. Just look at "Conservative Friends of #Russia" or later on as it was known "British Russia Forum". Before I forget allegedly Nigel #farage along with #Johnsons wife were regular visitors. I cannot imagine why. The UK has been so expertly played by the Russians and the likes of the Heritage foundation.

What I find hard to understand is why relatively /young/ men (from their teens to their 30s/40s) seem to be supporting #Trump and #Farage.

Both these men are old enough to be their dads or grandads - surely they aren't in any way "cool?" Perhaps there are many "bro" influencers on social media telling them to get off their arses and vote (if over 18), but when I was younger it was unusual and definitely not cool to worship someone your fathers age to such an extent...

The most dangerous UK political decision in a long time imnsho is Labour refusing to admit the huge economic & social harms of Brexit. Polls show both large Bregret & support for closer EU ties, yet by continuing a ‘don’t challenge #Brexit’ line that maybe helped #Labour get elected, they’re implying #Farage’s huge political achievement was a good idea. And if he was right about Brexit then why not let him DOGE-style the NHS & UK? It’s emboldened him, can only hope it changes before GE2029.

It's sad but predictable from the BBC that Farage is being given a platform on the renationalisation of the Scunthorpe steel plant.

The Green Party back it too but for some reason they don't get the same coverage.
