Hmm, well, that is bad bicycle routing. Routers are pushing through this treating it like an interesection. No stop light on this street, both sides of the major road go 50mph+ (not unusual to see faster, and people smashing into trees), always very heavy traffic. Will have to research OSM to see how to fix that. Wouldn't even do that in a car. #frogger
