When you’re minding your own business and some lady starts watering you and deadheading your flowers.

I’m very awake now.

*Most likely: Pacific Tree Frog (Pseudacris regilla)

A porch planter with rocks and a couple of primroses. One little tan, brown and black frog sits on the back rock against the planter wall, wondering wtf and is this a good home anymore.

For #FrogFriday this is the first photo I took of a red-legged frog (Rana aurora aurora) when I moved to Vancouver Island. It looks like a masked bandit lurking in the forest.

A frog hiding in the grass and under the cover of green foliage. The frog is brown and has a black mask over its eyes. It looks at the camera from the side. We only see part of the frog.

Indigo just makes everything better!

Even this green that I didn't like alone. With Indigo it harmonizes beautifully. Playing with both lead to painting this frog.

So remember... if you struggle, just paint on. You might like the outcome. :)

Yesterdays stream was also dominated by a color study of this multi pigment green, which still didn't grow on me. The monochromatic study sometimes leads to appreciating the color more, but not this time.

It contains two whites, which make it look dull unnecessarily. The mixes turn out in a way I don't like unless it's within the hue range.

The values I get are middle range and thus I felt like something is missing. But it's ok....
