In the Archiginnasio the walls are covered in around 6000 heraldic arms. These arms commemorate past students, teachers and patrons of the university. Arms were added to the walls until the late 18th century. (The Archiginnasio was built in 1563 so we're taking about 200 years worth of people)
It got me thinking about all the people who come and go from the building, yet it remains.
The "ghosts" right now are those represented by the heraldry, but one day will be us. But it's a Monday morning so don't think about it too deeply okay!
This photo is a combination of a double exposure and a long exposure (because I have shaky hands and I really liked the people in one photo and the background in another so I tried to squish them together
