…Since the start of the second #Trump term, #GSA employees have shared 3 items with the entire agency. These included two files marked #CUI & a third described as containing #banking information, according to the records.
The GSA’s Office of Inspector General learned of the inappropriate sharing last week during an ongoing security audit of the agency’s use of #GoogleDrive, according to the records.

9 of the 15 files shared in the #GoogleDrive folder were marked #CUI for “controlled unclassified information,” which refers to “sensitive information that does not meet the criteria for classification but must still be protected”…. At least 10 of the shared files allowed #GSA employees not only to view but also edit the content.

Last month, top officials inadvertently included the editor in chief of the Atlantic magazine in an unclassified chat used to discuss highly sensitive #military planning, & Trump’s #NationalSecurity adviser & his staff used personal #Gmail accounts for government communications, which experts described as insufficiently secure, The Post reported.

The information shared also included the details of a proposed blast door for the #WhiteHouse visitor center, the records show, as well as #bank account information for a vendor who assisted with a #Trump admin news conference.

Como alternativa me refiero no solamente a un alojamiento en nube como Dropbox o Mega, si no que se pueda trabajar on line, redactar en la web del servicio directamente. GMX tiene un servicio así, pero funciona con poca fluidez y visualmente es incómodo.
EDIT: Problem kinda solved by deleting all browser data, but still weird because I've never heard of Canva and run several privacy extensions simultaneously in Firefox. Any further comments welcome, but problem is at least resolved if still unexplained.

Background: I often make Google documents to share with students to edit, set to public, no login required.
Problem: Today it seems that something called "Canva Integrations" is required for somebody to access a newly made public/edit Google Doc link. This is pervasive across several Google logins, including my work-based enterprise access.
Older Google Docs, including as recent as last week do not seem affected.
Is this Google's new business model? Something else?

Next I run #syncthing on my laptop, and on my #homelab #intelN100 #n100 mini pc / server that runs in the cupboard and is very #lowpower I run #proxmox and this also has a #samba share which allows any other network devices to see the media.
With syncthing running, I always have two copies of the media, but for backup I was using #rclone to send an encrypted copy to #googledrive - which I am in the process of switching over to #nextcloud running on #hetzner

Anyone have trouble downloading folders from #GoogleDrive? It takes minutes to create a zip archive of several folder - and then says “can't download file”. There is a "learn more" option, which is about Chrome, which I'm not using. I'm using Safari on macOS. If I try the folders individually, eventually I get them all downloaded. But it's very frustrating.
At some point Google Drive started preventing the context menu from appearing when you right-click something. I installed a browser extension that re-enabled this function. The modern web is quite tiresome.

One of the features I really like that differentiates Sync from OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox is their use of "zero-knowledge" authentication: they don't store your encryption key and cannot decrypt your files without your knowledge.
This policy does add some processing overhead. Years ago, I sometimes found file synchronization slow. But these days, I find it works transparently in the background as it should.

Quick question for folks using **Google Drive** on iPhone and Mac:
If someone shares a folder with you, how do you get it to appear in the main section of Google Drive (like in "My Drive") and not just under "Shared with me"?
For example, on my Mac, I have Google Drive set up to show in Finder, but it only shows the *My Drive* folder—none of the shared ones—unless I use the web version. On the iPhone app, I only see shared folders in the *Shared* tab, unless I create a shortcut to that folder.
What do y’all think? Any tips or tricks?
