MACHINE
Something unusual today. Not really a "creative" effort on the photo front, but I wanted to share it anyways.
I adore form & function when it's done well. The Fender Jazzmaster guitar, introduced in 1958, is a beautiful example of that. I'm not a guitar gear nut, but I am a guitarist and a lover of design, particularly of the years on and around my birth year, 1962. The space age shape of the body and pickguard, the curved vibrato arm (which is a delight to use), the "extra" rhythm circuit switches and, of course, the famous pickups (not really my thing to be honest, but the ones in mine - a Classic Player Special from 2008 - are of the non-traditional variety, more like P90s).
I can well imagine that most folk will be like "yeah, whatevs" when they see my Jazzmaster photo. It's not much of an interesting shot or subject to most. I get that. But I love this thing/object/machine. It literally makes me happy every time I pick it up to play.
